Ages 6 to 12
Welcome to Day Camp – SJYC Style!
Hi there! I’m Sarah, Camp Director at St. Joseph’s Youth Camp, and I’m so excited to welcome you back for another incredible summer of SJYC Day Camp.
For more than 75 summers, SJYC has been a home-away-from-home for kids from all backgrounds. Last year we launched our Day Camp program right here in the Flagstaff area, and it quickly became a favorite way for campers to spend their summer days.
At SJYC Day Camp, your child will spend each day exploring the outdoors, building friendships, and learning new skills in the beautiful camp setting we call home. They will laugh with new friends, try new activities, and come home full of stories they can’t wait to share.
What makes SJYC Day Camp special is the same thing that has made our overnight camp so beloved for generations: caring staff who make every camper feel welcome, high-energy activities that encourage kids to try new things, and traditions that give them a sense of belonging and connection.
Whether this is your child’s first time at Day Camp or they’re coming back for another summer, this program is designed to help them grow in confidence, curiosity, and friendship.
I can’t wait to see our Day Campers back on site this summer, filling camp with their laughter and energy.
See you at camp,
Sarah
Camp Director
Day Camp: A Summer of Discovery!
Get ready for another summer filled with laughter, adventure, and the best parts of camp life. SJYC Day Camp is perfect for kids ages 6 to 12 who are ready to spend their days running, exploring, creating, and making new friends under the tall pines.
Every day brings something new. Campers might:
Try out archery for the first time
Get creative with art and crafts (and probably a little messy)
Dive into hands-on STEAM projects and problem-solving challenges
Hike, play camp games, and soak up the mountain air
Day Camp is more than just keeping kids busy. It is about helping them grow. We focus on building confidence, encouraging teamwork, and giving campers a place where they feel welcome and included.
Our staff are caring, experienced leaders who love what they do and make sure every camper feels safe and supported.
You drop them off in the morning, we give them a full day of fun and connection, and you pick up a camper with stories to tell and smiles to share.
