Fuel for the Fun
Meals They Actually Look Forward To
At SJYC, we serve three hot meals a day — and they’re genuinely good. Mornings might mean pancakes, cinnamon rolls, or breakfast sandwiches. Lunch could be sandwiches, pizza, or quesadillas. Dinner? Maybe tacos, pasta & meatballs, or crowd-favorite orange chicken.
We keep it classic, comforting, and camper-approved. Every meal includes fruit or salad, plenty of water and juice, and seconds for those still hungry.
We’re a nut-free camp, and our kitchen team is happy to accommodate vegetarian, dairy-free, or gluten-sensitive needs. Just let us know during registration!
Snacks? We’ve Got You.
Campers and CITs move a lot — and they get hungry fast. That’s why we keep fresh fruit available all day, outside of mealtimes. With access to a rotating variety of fruit, grab what you need, when you need it. It’s simple, healthy, and always there when you’re running to your next activity.
The Kitchen Crew = Camp Heroes
Our kitchen staff might not wear capes, but they’re legends around here. They keep the meals coming, the line moving, and us all smiling — all while helping create one of the most fun and spirited spaces at camp.
The dining hall is more than just a place to eat. It’s where campers sing songs, share stories, and build connections over condiments and conversation.
Made From Scratch, Served With Heart
At SJYC, we don’t just serve food — we make it from scratch, and you can taste the difference.
Our sandwich bread is baked in-house. Our pizza dough is rolled out fresh. When campers and CITs walk into the dining hall and catch the smell of warm bread baking in the oven? That’s not an accident — that’s part of the experience.
We believe food should be delicious, high-quality, and made with care. It’s not fancy — it’s just real food, made the right way, and served in an atmosphere that feels like home.
