Meet Our Staff •

Say hello to our 2024 staff team! Many staff members were campers and counselors at SJYC, and stay connected to camp for the rest of their lives. We’re here because we believe in the power of summer camp and feel passionate that this is more than just another job. We’re excited to be mentors and positive role models for this summer’s camper and counselors, and to mold a safe, fun, and impactful camp experience. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to our camp family!

Our staff is selected with care and trained thoroughly. All staff undergo a federal background check and are trained in infant, child, and adult First Aid, CPR, and AED. Many work as teachers or childcare professionals outside of camp.
