A Special Welcome to Teen Week

Hello Teen Campers and Families,

Teen Week is one of my favorite times of summer, and I am thrilled to welcome you to this special session. This is a week designed just for teens: a chance to unplug, make new friends, and take on new challenges in the fresh mountain air.

This summer, Teen Week brings back all of the favorite activities campers look forward to each year: kayaking on the lake, horseback riding on scenic trails, and testing their courage on the zipline and ropes course. We have also added even more opportunities for connection, adventure, and late-night laughter around the campfire.

Throughout the week, teens will work together to solve problems, take on group challenges, and grow their confidence as leaders. Our goal is to give them the chance to stretch themselves, try new things, and build skills that will serve them well beyond camp.

Teen Week is a time to step up, build lasting friendships, and create memories that will stay with them for years to come.

I cannot wait to see our teen campers at camp for a week of adventure, challenge, and plenty of surprises.

See you at camp,
Sarah

Teen Week: A Next-level Camp Experience

Teen Week is a one-week (7 days, 6 nights) adventure designed just for campers ages 13 and 14. This is their chance to experience all the classic SJYC activities: horseback riding, archery, and kayaking, along with special teen-only programs, like high ropes courses and evening events.

Teen Week is more than just a week of fun. It gives campers the opportunity to grow, take on new challenges, and begin developing leadership skills in a supportive, encouraging environment. They will work together as a team, try new things, and build the confidence that comes from stepping outside their comfort zone.

By the end of the week, campers leave with new friendships, incredible memories, and a stronger sense of who they are — and most are already planning their return to camp next summer.
