Looking for a unique outdoor venue for your next retreat, training, or group gathering? St. Joseph’s Youth Camp (SJYC) offers private camp rentals in the cool pines of Mormon Lake, just outside Flagstaff. Our facilities are ideal for religious retreats, youth groups, weddings, leadership trainings, family reunions, nonprofit programs, and community events.
Our rental season runs May through September, with availability varying throughout the summer.
Please note: SJYC provides facility rentals only. Meals, kitchen staffing, and laundry services are not included.

Camp Facilities
Accommodations (Maximum Capacity of 140 people, including tent and RV campers):
12 Cabins with five bunk beds each (10 sleepers per cabin).
Additional sleeping options: 3 beds in the Nurse’s Cabin and 2 beds in the Director’s Cabin.
Bathing Facilities:
Central shower house with individual stalls
Flush toilets and wash sinks with hot and cold water.
Portable toilets near the cabin area.
Dining Hall & Kitchen:
Gas stoves, convection ovens, and coffee makers
Walk-in refrigerator and double freezer
Prep tables, dish sinks, serving line, and cookware
Outside charcoal BBQ pit (subject to fire restrictions; bring your own charcoal)
Recreational Areas:
Fire ring with log seating
Sand volleyball pit and tetherball
Open areas for group activities and tent camping
How to BOOK YOUR CAMP RENTAL
Getting started is simple:
Check Availability: Review our Rental Calendar to confirm that your desired dates are open.
Review the Lease Agreement: Download and review the Lease Agreement to understand our terms, conditions, and pricing.
Complete and Submit the Lease Agreement: Once you’re ready to proceed with your rental booking, email admin@sjycaz.com to request that the lease agreement be sent to you for e-signature.
Send Payment: Mail your payment check to:

Surprise, AZ 85374-0110Provide Proof of Insurance: At least 30 days before your rental date, email or mail a Certificate of Liability Insurance naming St. Joseph’s Youth Camp as an additional insured. This is required to finalize your booking.
Receive Confirmation: Your booking is finalized once you are provided with a signed copy of the Lease Agreement.

Rental Pricing
One-Day Rental: $900 (24-hour period, noon to noon)
Multi-Day Rental: $800 per day (24-hour period, noon to noon)
Additional Add-on Options:
Director’s Cabin: $65 per 24-hour period
Nurse’s Cabin: $65 per 24-hour period
A refundable cleaning deposit of $550 is required at the time of arrival.
Water Usage Policy
Due to ongoing drought and the loss of our natural spring, all water at camp is now hauled in by truck. To help conserve resources, the following policy applies to all rentals beginning January 1, 2026:
Water Allotment:
1,000 gallons included with every rental
Rentals of 3+ nights include an extra 500 gallons per day
Overage Fee:
$100 per additional 1,000 gallons (rounded up to the next 1,000 gallons)
Deducted from your cleaning deposit; overages above that are due at checkout
Max Group Size: 140 people
Water is tracked by meter daily. Contact us for estimated water use based on your group size or past rentals.
